Winding down the REU

Technically, the REU is over! It's hard to believe that I've been here 2 months, and that this summer is already coming to a close. My research partners and I gave our presentation today, and were very happy with it! The picture above is myself, Eric, and Colin, (the Knot Theory Group) holding some of our models of lattice knots. The picture below is myself with one of the other girls in the program, Laura, who has become a pretty awesome friend. It was a very fun day, and it's SO NICE to have the stress of the presentation over, but also to know we now have a presentation that we can take back to our schools and give at conferences.

Tomorrow, our advisors have organized a bbq for us to be able to spend a bit of time relaxing together, and to be able to say goodbye. Then I'll have to pack up and be ready to leave for the airport at 5am.
